My Story
For over 25 years, I’ve been immersed in the fascinating world of Confrontation Analysis—a unique approach to understanding and navigating strategic interactions. My journey began under the mentorship of Professor Nigel Howard, one of the field’s original pioneers. After his passing in 2008, I continued to develop and refine the methodology independently, driven by a deep belief in its potential to illuminate complex decision-making.
Along the way, I’ve worked both independently and as a defence analyst with the UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), applying Confrontation Analysis to real-world challenges. One of my proudest achievements is the creation of Dilemma Explorer, an Excel-based tool designed to make this powerful method more accessible and practical for analysts, strategists, and curious minds alike.
Now retired, I’ve built this website as a comprehensive, user-friendly hub for Confrontation Analysis Version 2.5—a much-needed resource for anyone looking to understand, apply, or explore this compelling framework.
